Essay Writing

Got stuck while writing your own character sketch? Have brilliant ideas but can’t put them on paper? Then you can forget your worries forever. Let our excellent tutors guide you through this task.

An essay can be about anything but the basic structure remains the same. It could be a character sketch or a simple factual description; all require the same thing from you – correct organization of your ideas and putting them down in an interesting manner.

Here’s a glimpse of the guidance our tutors provide. You just need to follow these simple steps and the essay almost writes itself out… unbelievable? Then go ahead, try and see for yourself.

Select a topic
If you are already given a topic then…well, get the gist of it and move on to the next step. In case you have not already been given the topic then think of what you might find interesting to write and then narrow down your options to the topic which is specific and has maximum to write about.

Organize your ideas
The proper organization of your ideas is equally important as selecting a particular topic. The best way to do this is to use a kind of flowchart to have the basic outline of your essay. Put your topic in the middle of the page and write around it the main points you would like to highlight. For further simplification, write brief explanations around the points you just wrote. Your outline for the essay is ready.

Write an introduction
Start with an interesting statement; a startling fact, a famous dialogue, an anecdote, an interactive quote or question; but it must be relevant to your topic and should favor it. Write a few lines to support the previous statement and supply it with a thesis statement.

Write your thesis statement
Your thesis statement will be a brief explanation of your topic. It will tell the readers about what you are going to write; if it’s an argumentative essay then mention the side that you will be supporting in your essay. The thesis statement is written after the introduction but it is optional to write it separately or along with the introduction.

Write down the body paragraphs
Start with the strongest point and remember to use all the sub points that you specified in your outline, supporting that major point. In the case of an argumentative essay, also state the reason for your support of that point. Go on to the next major point and follow the same method. It is optional to use proper headings for each paragraph.

Write the conclusion
The essay just needs a proper ending now. Just use the major points once again to specify your conclusion and remember that it should stick to what you have written in the body. You can give the reason for your support of the topic or better; simply quote another saying or anecdote to give it the final end.

The finishing touches
Thought it was over, didn't you? Well you need to check what you just wrote to ensure that it has no spelling or grammatical mistakes and that you have not missed any point and that as a reader, whether you are able to co-relate the points easily to the topic.

Well, congratulations! You just discovered how to write an essay about any topic in the world!!!
